Decently clean 3000GT Spyder in Cupertino , looks like it’s not a VR-4 though. Despite the big rear end created by the Spyder profile, it still looks good after all these years.

FWD, V6, hard top convertible, what a strange class of car. This and the Chrysler 200 are the only things that come to mind.

The complications in the body cut lines was what stood out to me for the GTO/3000GT. This and the Skyline GT-R wore a lot more cut lines than the simpler forms of the RX-7 and the Supra. They all managed to look great in their own ways.

Copen is a 4-cylinder according to wiki. I know there are some other FWD hard top ver ts in Europe too, but not V6s IIRC.
But holy crap I forgot about this ... thing.

Just to be that guy, its actually a G6 and thats a factory body kit for the GXP version. That got you a full 240hp!

Actually the ‘08-’09 GXP had the 3.6 DOHC rated at 252 HP. The GTP came with the 3.9 OHV rated at 240. Neither were available as a convertible; the white one shown has the front fascia swapped from a GXP and the wheels look to be from a GTP.

That was my exact thought as I was typing that post to you lol.
Years ago when we were dating, my wife had an ‘08 GXP sedan, so that’s about the only reason any info regarding the G6 remains in my memory bank.

Fun story, I swear I’ve seen a body kitted white G6 vert. Hell it might even be that one. I drive by the GM tech center everyday so it wouldn’t surprise me that person that would do that, lives around here.
Seeing that whale tail on a convertible is something you don’ t forget.

The car isn’t physically longe r or taller, but the Spyder top has a truncated profile compared to the fastback coupé. So the boot looks longer than it does on the coupé.
